Hi, the strange looking character above, with the good looking blonde (my wife), is me, Jim  of Pa Works. My grand kids (on left) call me “PA”, thus the name of my shop.

 After chasing around the world for close to 40 years (10 years Navy, and the rest in business), I finally was able to start on something I like to do: woodworking and wooden ship models.

 I take pride in my work. I like to work with the natural wood colors, and surprise people by showing the wide variety of wood colors available. I am especially proud of NOT using any stain or paint on my Carousel Horses.

 I will use stains when required to provide the right look for the piece (e.g. My furniture).

 I am continually trying to expand my craftsmanship by taking on new challenges. I may even get into “Turning” at some point, so stop back to see what I’m doing.
